The company name Medis Technology has developed  worlds First portable fuel cell charger and it works on liquid borohydride technology and it is recyclable it dose not have any environmentally hazardous chemicals.

This charger could be very helpful when disposable alkaline batteries or rechargeable lithium batteries charge are drained, this technology could solve the problem of  power  for portable devices.

Cheaper Fuel Cells For Cars

Australian researchers has developed a cathode built fuel cells which are cheaper than traditional fuel cells.

Researchers of Australian Center of Excellence for Electromaterials Science has developed this cell with help of materials engineer professor Maria Forsythe.

Traditional fuel cells which convert hydrogen and oxygen to electricity which runs the car are made of cathode which has expensive platinum nanoparticles which can lose effectiveness by clumping togeather or becoming poisoned by carbon monoxide and they cost $3500 to $4000 for a single passenger car it covers almost cost of fuel cell.

New cathode which are developed from conducting polymer is a special plastic that can conduct electricity called poly or PEDOT.

This cathode materials easy to made are even cheaper almost several hundred dollars it is also stable than platinum which is affected by carbon monoxide.

This cathode material can also be used in zinc air batteries but it is a testing procedure which could be used in storing electricity in cars.[abc.net]
